How to use
- Set the work, short break and long break lengths and how many sessions come before a long break.
- Press Start. The timer counts down and switches phases with a beep and a browser notification if you allow them.
- Review the session log and press "Log work time" to add the focused minutes to the hours calculator.
Worked example: Classic 25/5/15
Four 25-minute work sessions separated by 5-minute breaks, then a 15-minute long break, is one full round: 100 minutes of focused work in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
After two rounds the log shows eight work sessions, and "Log work time" adds a 3:20 line to the hours calculator.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer drift if I switch tabs?
No. It stores the end time when you press Start and recalculates the remaining seconds from the clock, so background throttling does not make it run slow.
How do notifications work?
The first time you start the timer the browser asks for permission. If granted, a notification appears at each phase change. A short beep also plays.
What is a long break?
After the configured number of work sessions (4 by default) the break is longer, 15 minutes by default.
Is the log saved?
The log lives in this page only and clears on reload. Use "Log work time" to keep the total in the hours calculator, which is saved.
Can I skip a phase?
Yes, Skip moves to the next phase without logging the current one.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded no network is needed.
