How to use
- Fill in your details, the client, the invoice number and dates.
- Add line items with hours and rate, or press Import to pull each day from your saved Time Card.
- Add tax and notes if needed, then download the PDF or print.
Worked example: Invoicing a week of consulting
Five days imported from the time card at 7.50, 8.00, 6.25, 8.00 and 4.00 hours at $85.00 give amounts of $637.50, $680.00, $531.25, $680.00 and $340.00, subtotal $2,868.75.
With 8.25% tax the tax line is $236.67 and the total due is $3,105.42. Every amount is computed in cents from the hours and rate, then rounded once.
Frequently asked questions
How does Import from time card work?
It reads the Time Card Calculator data saved in this browser, computes each day's hours after breaks, and adds a line per day at the saved rate.
Is the PDF made on a server?
No. The PDF is generated in your browser with jsPDF, loaded only when you click.
Can I add quantities that are not hours?
Yes. The quantity column accepts any number, so 3 × $50 items work too.
How is tax applied?
As a percentage of the subtotal, rounded to the cent.
Does it remember my details?
Yes, in this browser, so your next invoice starts pre-filled. Reset clears it.
Can I number invoices automatically?
Change the number before each new invoice; it is saved with the rest.
