IRS-compliant mileage log with odometer readings, purpose, miles, reimbursement at 72.5 cents and tolls.

How it works

Enter the date, from, to, business purpose and odometer readings; miles are =MAX(0, end - start) and reimbursement is miles x rate / 100 using the rate in B2 (72.5 cents per mile for 2026 business travel; verify mid-year changes on irs.gov). Tolls and parking are added separately in the last column and the total line adds both.

The IRS asks for date, destination, purpose and miles for each trip, which is exactly what the columns capture. Keep the file for at least three years after filing.
